SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST PESTO.....
Purely Pesto started in 2006 with two pestos, Basil and Sundried Tomato. Over the years our pesto range has grown naturally; a mixture of creative ideas from Gavin and customer requests (a peashoot pesto for a local pea festival!).. which is why we love to hear from you!
Our pestos are rustic, textured with smashed cashew nuts and bursting with flavour from using only fresh herbs. Our soups (all vegetarian) are made using only fresh ingredients. They are blended to a smooth consistency, ranging from the well loved Tomato and Basil to Cream of Celeriac! Our hummus selection will please all tastebuds, with the classic chickpea, a sweet haricot bean and caramelised onion and an earthy butterbean, lemon and peashoot.
We make other dips, perfect for parties, picnics or just nibbling, a taramasalata, made with Pinney’s of Orford Cods’ roe (local to us) and a dreamily creamy, but chunky guacamole. For all olive addicts we have sourced delicious Greek olives and made up three fantastic marinades using Hill Farm rapeseed oil (also local to us).
Not to be forgotten is the HOT Scotch bonnet chilli sauce, and the horseradish creme fraiche (made using fresh horseradish root) both have a real kick!
